Priscilla was very excited to see the show!

This past weekend a couple of my girlfriends and I went to see the play WICKED. It was so nice to have a night out with no kids and to have a reason to get dressed up. The play was amazing and I want to go see it again. They had a great cast and it was such a fun story, I highly recommend it. I love girls night out!

This morning we woke up to snow! It wasn't alot but we were still happy to see some 2 days before Christmas. As soon as Dylan saw it he went and got his shoes and his jacket and headed outside.

A little later after we got dressed we went out and made a little snowman with the little snow we had left ( it was already starting to melt)

It has been forever since I have updated but we have had alot going on the last 2 months in our family. First of all Steve got home the first week of November and we are so glad to have him back. I am horrible and did not get any pictures of our family at the airport, I was a little distracted and wasn't really thinking about giving the camera to someone else to take a picture of the three of us. Dylan has loved having Daddy around again and they are inseparable. We had about 2 weeks of Steve home and then we started getting ready to move, I was so sad to be leaving Utah and all of my family but it was so nice to be able to be around them this past year and have Dylan get to know them a little better. We had Thanksgiving with Steve's family and had way too much yummy food and good company. The next week we packed up and moved down to Arizona. We are still trying to settle in but we are liking it so far, especially the warmer weather! We are excited for our new adventure and we welcome any visitors that want to come.

This year was so much fun for me. I loved watching how excited Dylan got while Trick-or-treating, and watching him run from one house to the next as fast as his little legs could take him. he didn't want to stop but all the other kids were freezing so he gave up.

Pumpkin Patch

This past week we went out to the Pumpkin patch at the Big Red Barn. We got there right before the rush of people so we didn't have to wait in all the lines which is always nice with a 2 year old. We took a wagon ride out to the pumpkin patch and then walked around until we found the ones we liked and then rode the tractor back to the Barn. Both Dylan and Peyton were kicking a screaming when we told them it was time to go, it was fun while it lasted!

On Sunday we went to my parents house and they had just bought a new Microwave and Dylan found the box and was playing in it. My dad thought of this really great idea of pushing Dylan down the stairs in it( I have to admit when he did it the first time I screamed, i think it scared me more than it did him) I know I did it as a kid but its different seeing your child doing it. Needless to say he loved it and just wanted to do it again and again.

So this Guy has been on my front porch for months now and I finally got the guts( ok not really me, I have not guts but my brother in law has some and he got it for me) to catch it. I swear it has gotten bigger since the last time I saw him. I am totally disgusted and I get the heeby-geebys every time I look at the pictures. I made my brother in law take it home with him, there was no way I was keeping that thing in my house. Does anyone know what kind of spider this is?

Helicopter Ride!

They were giving Helicopter rides During Labor Day and Grandpa Robbie was nice enough to take Dylan and I to go ride it. Dylan was so excited and couldn't hardly wait, the hardest part was the hour wait for his turn but he was so good.

While we waited for our turn the Pilot let us sit in the smaller helicopter and take some pictures, Dylan was so proud and had the biggest grin on his face the whole time!

Labor Day Weekend

yesterday morning I was laying in bed trying really hard to sleep in as long as possible, but Hudson needed to go outside. So he went into the kitchen to ring his bell( we have a bell on the back door and he rings it when he needs/wants to go outside) so he rang it a few times and I tried to ignore it because I was not ready to get out of bed and from the other room I hear Dylan ( who still sleeps in a crib) yelling" MOM, LET HUDSON OUTSIDE" I started laughing so hard, after that I had to get up, I didn't want to get in trouble again! I cant wait for the day when Dylan can let Hudson out himself! It was just one of the funniest things I have heard from Dylan ( which there have been alot) I couldnt resist sharing it.

4th of July

we didnt do anything too exciting on the 4th, we had a BBQ with my parents and my sister played some horseshoes and lit a few fire works. It was nice to just relax!

We went ans spent a few days at my dads cabin in June. Its so beautiful and peaceful down there.

We did a little Fishing with Dad while he was here. Dylan couldnt wait for Dad to catch a fish but as soon as he caught one Dylan starting crying( he was a little scared of it) and once it stopped flipping around he kept asking for Daddy to catch more, it will come in time!

We did a little camping!Even though it rained on us 90% of the time Dylan loved every minute of it. I cant wait until we get to do it again!

We went to ALOT of baseball games! Steve nephews High school went to the state championship and we went to every one of the games. It was Hot and alot of fun, the best part was that they took state! We also took Dylan to the BEES game in salt Lake. We are big Fans of baseball at our house!

Yes we are still alive and kicking! I know it has been forever and I am not starting to get a lot of comments from people about updating so I am finally going to sit down and up date! YEAH! But since it has been about 3 months I have decided that I am just going to hit some of the highlights so that I dont over load with pictures, I will just pick a few of my favorite moments so here we go, get ready for picture over load!!

the BIGGEST event was having Daddy home on leave!

I was a little worried that Dylan would want nothing to do with Steve since he was not really a big fan of strangers and got really nervous doing things he wasn't comfortable with, I dont know why I was so worried because as soon as he saw him he ran right up to him and gave him a big hug! I think it was more than I could have ever asked for and he Never left his side for the next two weeks!

Dylan turned Two 2 days after Daddy got home. We took him up to Thanksgiving Point to the Farm Town! It was so much fun and just the right size for his age. I was so excited when he finally decided that he wanted to ride on the Pony( I think it was because Dad was there to help)

We had a small party with our family for Dylan and it was alot of fun, we BBQ'd and played a few games and visited, it was a fun day, Dylan got some really good presents from all his cousin, thanks everyone!

We went up and spent the weekend with Aunt Christa and she took us to see the big Trains at Union station where she use to work.

for some Reason Dylan was terrified of the big trains and would not sit or stand on one by himself so i jumped in a picture with him so we could get a picture

Sunday we went to my mom and dads for an Egg Hunt with all the grand kids. Dylan loved searching for the eggs.

Saturday Dylan got to help Grandpa color some eggs. He had a hard time remembering that the eggs were not balls and then were fragile, he cracked a few (4 or5) because he would throw them back into the bowl when he was finished with it. But he colored some really cute eggs!

Saturday morning we went to the egg hunt at the park. It was really cold and we got really lucky because it didnt start to rain until right after the hunt was over and then rained the rest of the day. Dylan loved picking up the eggs but was pretty sad when they were all gone, but he did win a Mickey Mouse Frisbee so he was pretty happy about that.

I know that theses pictures are long overdue but I guess its better late than never. In March we went down to St George for the sunshine tournament to watch Greg play baseball. Dylan loved every minutes of it. We got really lucky and had wonderful warm weather.

One of the days ( which there are many )I was at the mall, we decided to let the kids play on the Toys. They loved it and now we have to make a trip there every time, but if it makes our outing a little easier then I will do it. They did not want to leave the slide, why is it that kids can go down a million times and never get bored of it. they got to climb all over the Dinosaur and once they found the water we had to go because they were soaked.

One night I was at My sisters house and the kids were playing with Marbles and I don't know what got it started but they put the marbles in their shirts and were dancing around. Thanks for all the birthday wishes and notes. Things here are going well and we are already a quarter of the way through this deployment. The weather has warmed up a little here and the snow is melting off the mountains around us. I have been on a couple of short trips to neighboring areas and this is a picture of one of them. Once we got back to my parents house Dylan had a few more presents to open from his cousins! He had fallen asleep in the car on the way home so he was really cranky when we got there but after a few minutes he warmed up and was so excited to play with his new trains! He is obsessed with trains right now so it was perfect! Once we got it all set up he wanted to be right in the middle of the action so he sat in the middle of the track. For thanksgiving Dylan and I went to my parents house. My dad just finished making a fire pit and a horseshoe pit in his garden so while it was still warm out side we all played horseshoes while the Turkey was cooking. Dylan thought the game was pretty cool and he even got to throw the shoe a few times. Dylan was Papa's shadow the whole day. He was right by his side and ever since then he loves Papa and cant wait to see him.

So its been about a month since Steve left and things are finally starting to feel as normal as possible. Dylan and I had our 2 weeks straight of melt down at ourselves and at each other but we are finally getting to the point where we don't cry at the drop of a hat! We had a really ruff time in the beginning and I am sure that most of it was my fault because when I cried it made Dylan cry and then I got really stressed and then cried some more. Dylan has had separation anxiety really bad and I know that its part the age that he is at and part Daddy leaving but it has been hard, he would even cry if I walk out of one room in the house to another, we are still working on it but it is definitely better. We miss Steve alot, every time I am on the computer Dylan thinks that he gets to talk to Daddy on the Web Cam but sadly he doesn't have that available at his base yet, and every time the phone rings Dylan thinks that its Daddy, its so cute but at the same time it breaks my heart. I am so Thankful that Steve is willing to serve his country and I am so proud of him. I had no clue what I was getting myself into when we got married but I am thankful everyday for the wonderful husband that I have and for his Love. I cant wait for the day when he gets home but for now we are just hanging in there. All three of us crying our eyes out( you cant tell but Dylan was crying really hard, he thought that I was the one leaving)

Another Update

I am finally at my final location here in Afghanistan. It took a couple of weeks to get here but it is good to finally be able to settle down. I will update you more as I get settled in but here are a few pictures of the trip so far.

This is one of the stray dogs that hangs around the building I am staying in right now. I think his name is "Hutch" and there are 2 other dogs that hang around as well. They make themselves at home in the common area and I am sure enjoy sleeping inside during the winter.

This is from one of the bases I stopped at for a few days on my way to my final destination. The huts are typical of what we live in here.

On the top of the closest hill is the ruins of a fort from when Alexander the Great occupied Afghanistan. It is supposably mined heavily up there so we can't go up there. Also if you look close you can see a guy walking out in the middle of no where. There is actually a town off to the left of the hill but there were a lot children playing out in that open space when I looked out there later in the day.

I am here in Kyrgyzstan waiting on our flight down to Afghanistan. It has been pretty laid back with nothing to do but watch movies, eat, and try to get over the jet lag. We have been here a couple of extra days because of weather and I can't really complain. Here are a couple of pictures.

The Pumpkin Patch

We went out to the pumpkin patch while Steve was home, and it was so COLD! i had just bought Dylan a winter coat, hat and gloves the day before and i am so glad that I did. We got to ride the wagon out to the field and then pick our own pumpkin, then ride back to the barn. We were excited to get back to the car with a heater! ( at least I was )

We took Dylan to the Living Aquarium and he loved it. I was smaller than I thought that it was going to be but it turned out to be the perfect size for Dylan because he cant pay attention for too long, but it was so fun to watch his reaction to the fish and all the other fun stuff, we even got to touch a live Sting Ray ( I'm not really sure Dylan know what he did). We enjoyed it and it was nice that Dad was there to enjoy it with us!

We got to go to the Payson Onions Days this year and Dylan got to go on the rides at the Carnival. He loved the car rides and now always wants to drive Cars! Uncle Nathan gave Dylan his first taste of Cotton Candy and he loved it( were there ever any doubts)

Steve got to come home for a 4 day weekend and so we decided to go for a hike up Payson Canyon. it was a nice Short hike(just the kind I like) to a waterfall. Dylan had fun riding on Dads shoulders, he got the good ride. it was so pretty, I love having the mountains around us again! They are so beautiful. We had alot of fun hanging out together.

ok so I know that it has been forever and a day since I have updated on here so I have alot of catching up to do so here we go.

We moved from Georgia in middle of July and that was one place that I was not sad to leave AT ALL. We got to Utah and found us a little townhouse in Spanish Fork which is nice because we are still close to my family in payson and I also have a brother in Spanish fork and Steve's sister lives here also so we have family just minutes away . Steve is now in Kansas working on his training before he gets shipped off the Afghanistan sometime in November. We are doing pretty well considering that its only been two weeks.

Moving Again

Its that time again and I am not looking forward to it at all. Yep, we're moving again. Steve is going to be in Kansas for a couple months and then it is off the Afghanistan and so Dylan and I are going to move to Utah so we can be close to family, I am excited to get to play with everyone but it would be really nice if I got to be in Utah with my Husband (someday I hope). So now all the fun begins. Have I ever mentioned that I am SICK of moving. I cant wait for it to be done with.

Trip to Tennessee

Steve was in Washington state for 2 weeks at the beginning of the month and so Dylan and I went up to Tennessee (about a 5 1/2 hour drive) to stay with my Aunt for about 10 days. We had so much fun playing in her grass, even though its not Utah grass its 10 times better then the grass in Georgia. Dylan leaned how to stand on his own because he didnt want to sit in the grass, whatever works. Aunt JoLiane got a swimming pool so she could lay out and while we were trying to set it up and fill it with water Dylan decided that he was ready to swim so he climbed inside clothes and all! he had a blast with the hose. We played in the pool almost everyday that we were there and it made me want one really bad. maybe next year! Steve was gone for Fathers day so we just got to talk to him on the phone which isnt that cool for Dylan so uncle Joel was nice enough to wear the tie that Dylan made for him in primary, I think he wore it with pride. We wish that we could have stayed and played longer but it was also nice to be home. Thanks for taking us in and spoiling us. We love you guys!

It has been so hot the last couple of days out her, on Saturday while Steve was mowing the lawn Dylan, Hudson and I got out the pool and cooled off. Dylan loves the water and had a blast splashing in the water.

Steve has made it through another course. He just Graduated the Captains course this past week.

Steve and I got our first babysitter last week so that we could go to the Dinning out dinner for his Graduation. It was fun to get all dressed up. Doesn't Steve look nice, I think that this was the first time since our wedding that he has worn his suit jacket. We had fun but got home too early in my mind, next time we will have to stay out longer, and trust me there will be a next time.

So its been a year since I had a baby and today I am getting our very first babysitter, sad I know but I have no clue how much you pay them. way back when i was a kid(ha ha) I got 2 dollars and hour but its been a really long time so if anyone could help me out and give me a suggestion of what the going rate is for a babysitter the help would be much appreciated.

We went miniature golfing on Saturday! it was a beautiful day not too hot. of course Steve won but is anyone surprised? the last couple hole I let Dylan help me out and i think that I did better with him helping me!

Dylans is now 1 year old! I cant believe that my baby is becoming such a little man. He is so much fun and was so happy all day long and it was so much fun to have grandma and grandpa robertson here to spoil him on his special day!

We went to Toys R Us to exchange a gift that he got double of and they gave him a Birthday crown and a toy wrestling guy which he loved, it took a little convincing to get him to keep the crown on but once he forgot about it everything was good.

After his nap Dylan found the empty wrapping paper roll and loved making noises into it.

Once Dad got home from work it was time to open the presents!

He got this train from grandma and grandpa and if you push the yellow buttom it blows the balls up and out of the train. It only took once to show him what buttom to push and he did it on his own after that!

We went to some friends house last week to play and they had just returned from a trip to the beach and they brought back some of the sand from the ocean so the kids decided to play in it. At first Dylan did not want anything to do with the sand but once we put water in with it he was all for it, he even tried to eat it a few times but we had so much fun and we are glad that we got to play in the sand!

Hand-Foot-Mouth Disease

This past week Dylan broke out in this rash all over his hands and feet. it just started out as a bunch of little red dots and then after about a day they started to look like blisters. Today i took him to the Doctor and she said that it is Hand-foot-Mouth Disease(what!) There is nothing that you can do for them and they are very Contagious so it looks like we wont be going anywhere for the next week. The symptoms are alot like any other thing babies get.... fever, runny nose, cough, and of course red spots and blisters on the hands feet and mouth( yes he has them on his tongue, sad isnt it) So I thought that since I thought it was just a cold that i would let everyone know to lookout for it and just keep you kids home if they have it. Hopefully it will go away soon.

We went to some friends house over the weekend for a BBQ, they had Rock Band and Dylan wanted to play the drums with Daddy so he was pretty excited that he got to help(Dylan is using spoons as his drum sticks in the first picture)

Braves Game

We went to the Atlanta Braves vs. NY Mets opening weekend baseball game last saturday with some of the people in steves class and we had a blast! The only bad thing was that it was raining. All day long it rained pretty hard and so we were trying to decide if we wanted to make the 2 hour drive to Atlanta if the game was going to be cancelled but we went anyway. By the time we got there it was just drizzling so it wasnt too bad and our seats were at the top right under the cover so we actually lucked out and didnt get too wet.( good thing it was still warm) Dylan loved every minute of the game he was so happy the whole time. He loved cheering with everyone and he danced for just about every song that was played. He even got on the Big screen because of his Dancing. We had alot of fun and it was even a really good game(the Braves won) I was really glad that we ending up making the trip.

This is Dylans new favorite place to play. he has now figured out that he can crawl inside and play but he knows now that he has more room when hudson is not in there with him. He is pretty proud of himself!

Aunt JoLiane and Tamara came down to visit us from Tennessee and we had fun just hanging out for the weekend. Dylan was trying to cut 2 more teeth that weekend and so he had a tempature of 102 so he wasnt too happy but he tried to have fun. he loved playing with rah rah (tamara)as was sad when they left but we are so glad that they came to play and cant wait to see them again!

Dyaln is now starting to stand all by himself and he will walk as long as you are holding both of his hands. I cant believe he is at that stage already.

Dylan and Peyton have become the best of friends. Dylan loved to watch Peyton and how that we are home his is doing things that I know he learned from her. I am sad that they dont get to hang out together more. Someday day soon though.

We just got back from our trip to Utah for my little sisters wedding and we had alot of fun! I am a little sad because I had a sick baby the day of the wedding so I didnt get very many pictures, and I had to leave the Reception early because Dylan threw up 3 times in less than an hours time(not fun) I was a little bummed that I didnt get to stay and mingle with everyone and see them do any of the fun wedding stuff(cutting the cake,throwing the bouquet, the dancing ect.) But I was still glad that I got to be there for the wedding, its so weird that my little sister is married but I am very excited for her. Welcome to the family Jack!

So today as Dylan and I were walking through Walmart he decided that he had alot to say and so throughout the whole store he talked my ear off. And after a few minutes he realized that his voice ecohed and he thought that was pretty cool so he got louder. He also smiled at every person that he could see but did not stop talking in the process. One man came up to me and said, I can hear him from the other side of the store and not only is he really happy he is also very handsome! (I would have to agree with that one) I am having so much fun being a mom right now and Dylans personality is coming out and he is a blast to hang out with. I love him more than anything!

I just wanted to say that I feel like I am never going to get my house put together. We have moved a few times now and I will admit that I am not perfect about getting my house all put together right away, but I feel like I do it somewhat fast UNTIL...... I had a baby. it is totally different this time. I dont get anything done. we have been here for almost 2 weeks now and I still dont have one room finished yet, I have some stuff put away here and there but not all of it. I walk into one room and its a disaster and so I walk into another to maybe see if there is any room for me to even stand but its just worse so I go to the next room and its not any better. Now that Dylan is crawling I have to keep my eye on him because he wants to go for everything on the floor except for the thousands of toys I put out to try and distract him. so I feel like the only time that I have to really get anything done is when he is down for a nap and then by that time I dont want to do anything or else Hudson wants some attention. We are only here for 5 months and I feel like by the time I get stuff put away it will be time to start all over again. I guess I should get off the computer and get cleaning while Dylan is sleeping!

We're Back!

We are back to the army life now! we got to Georgia on the 31st (crappy Holidays) and we found a house, we dont have anything in it yet. Our stuff gets here tomorrow! I dont think that I am ready to live the army life again yet but I guess I will have to get used to it! I already miss everyone in Colorado and Ihope that I can keep in touch with them. We will be out here for about 6 months and then it is off to the next place. Someday we will stay somewhere longer than 18 months! I cant wait for that day!

Dylan Now has 2 teeth. he broke his first one on Dec. 30 and he got his second one today! And he is also starting to crawl! he started that on the 31st. he is fast and he wants everything that he cant have(of course) I am going to be busy now keeping him out of everything!

CHRISTMAS

We didn't have a very exciting Christmas this year because of the move but we at least got a little one. Dylan loved to stare at the lights on the tree. we opened presents a few days early and then the next morning they got packed up so tomorrow we will finally get to play with all of our toys! I just wanted to say Thank you to all of our Friends in Colorado that made it feel like Christmas and for taking us in when we had nothing else. We are really going to miss all of you!

The day after thanksgiving was my moms birthday and my Dad and my sister and her family and steve and I all went out to West Mountain and did a little shooting. it was cold but alot of fun, The noise didnt bother Dylan at all, I guess he is ready to be in the Robertson family.

This was Dylan on his 6 month birthday! Wow how time flies. He is so much fun right now. I am loving every minute that I have with him. I dont know if you can tell but in the picture where he is standing up you can see a string of spit fall out of his mouth, this is pretty much an all day occurance. He is drooling all the time. he even started spitting all the time so i was always covered in it. how nice of him to share with me! I love this little man so much and I am enjoying every minute I have with him, he is the greatest blessing in my life.

We went to Utah for Thanksgiving and Hudson decided to get really comfy with Dylan. He plopped all the way across the top of Dylan's Car seat and layed there for at least 30 minutes while he took a good nap, Dylan had so much fun pulling his hair and pounding on him, Hudson doesn't let him do that willingly too often.

Our trip to the Zoo

We went to the Denver Zoo today with one of my friends and her two boys. we had so much fun, I haven't been to the Zoo in a long time. Dylan was so happy all day long so that made the day much more fun! His favorite things were the fish and the turtles, maybe its because they moved but he loved to look at all in colors in the fish tank. Then we walked past the Tiger, and Dylan started making noises like he was growling, it was the cutest thing, it was like he was trying to talk to them. Then when we got home i tried to put him down for a nap but he just had too many stories to tell, he talked for 25 minutes before he finally fell asleep, it was like he was telling Daddy everything he saw today! I think that he enjoyed his trip to the Zoo and I am sure that we will have many more fun adventures to come.
